I am a quantitative methodologist and Ph.D. student in Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My research bridges causal machine learning, multilevel modeling, and statistical decision theory to improve educational research and program evaluation.
My work focuses on moving beyond average effects to uncover true treatment variation. Through my dissertation—the Discover, Characterize, Confirm (DCC) framework—I develop tools that close the gap between highly flexible, data-driven machine learning and the practical needs and concerns of applied researchers. Ultimately, I aim to build accessible workflows that accurately identify for whom and under what conditions interventions work, aiding in the development of scalable, cost-effective educational programs.
